We are pleased to announce that from 2020 onward SRC will award Club Standard certificates at our annual awards evenings to be held in the New Year.
Club Standards are based on LRRL County Standards. However, unlike County Standards, Club Standards will be awarded on three race distances rather than the 5 required for County Standards. Also, we will accept any Parkrun as a 5K where LRRL only recognise Leicester Victoria Park and Braunstone.
You can apply for both Club and County Standards based on your results from measured road races done within the calendar year.
We will use the same race distance and ranking tables as used by the LRRL.
Any combination of 3 distances from the 10 race distances available will be accepted as long as they are officially measured road races. We will accept chip times or gun times.
You will be responsible for submitting your times and requesting your Certificate. We will need to know your age on race day for each race done.
If you achieve your County Standards, you will automatically also achieve your Club Standard to the same level. We will take your three best results so it is possible that you can achieve a higher Club Standard for your best three races and a lower County Standard for five races.
For example: if you achieve 3 Bronze standard times and 2 Copper times, you will be issued with a County Standard of Copper but you could achieve a Club Standard of Bronze.
