Yesterday Shepshed Running Club held a “virtual relay” to raise money for the NHS. 48 runners completed separate solo 30 minute runs from their homes on the hour and half hour starting at 4:30 am and finishing at half past midnight covering a total of 157.18 miles!
With an initial aim to raise £150 from each runner donating £5 we ended up raising £1080.39 by the end of the day thanks to donations from friends and family.

This was a remarkable achievement and an excellent display of our members dedication and support for our NHS heroes on the front line.
Well done and thank you to all our runners and supporters and special thanks to Anita Badock for the inspiration, Stuart Taylor for setting up the Just Giving page and the live commentary and David Bottomley for organising the schedule and recording the results.
