Coronation weekend didn’t stop Shepshed runners from turning out for both the LRRL Bosworth Half Marathon and the Wymeswold Waddle. SRC had 13 runners representing the club in Bosworth in very warm conditions, Rebecca Randall continued her incredible form and finished First Lady overall and first home for the club. We had a great turn out at the second LRRL race, the Kibworth 6 on Sunday. Well done everyone that took part and conquered Gumley Hill! Special mention for Rebecca coming in 2nd female!! Well done to all of our members that took part in the Leicestershire Road Running League races this season. Congratulations to Rebecca Randell who finished 2nd ladies senior and the mens team who finished 2nd in Division 3 and are promoted! The awards were presented on Friday 11th November at the Leicester Tigers Stadium. It was a busy week for Shepshed Running Club with runners taking part in the last LRRL race the Rotherby 8, the Robin Hood Half Marathon and the Charnwood Challenge. SRC getting ready! It was the first Leicesterhsire Road Running League race today and for most of us the first race since lockdown began! It was a great turnout for SRC and some excellent results with many PBs being achieved today! Well done everyone, especially Rebecca for her first place finish! Provisional results below.
